David replied to the Philistine, “You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 1 Samuel 17:45
Have you ever felt like you’re on the brink of something big, something life-changing, but there’s this massive obstacle in your way? It's as though you're on the verge of breaking out of obscurity, stepping into a place of influence, and experiencing your big breakthrough. But then, there’s a Goliath.
Goliath is the voice of intimidation. It’s the whisper that says, “You’re not good enough. You’re unqualified. People before you failed, so why would you succeed?” It tells you that the challenge ahead is too great, that you're too young, too inexperienced, or too small. Goliath reminds you of your past failures, your family’s struggles, and how no one has ever made it this far before. He says, “This is as far as you’re going to get.”
If you’ve ever encountered your own “Goliath,” you know how overwhelming it can feel. The fear, the doubt, the intimidation—they all come at you full force. It’s easy to feel like giving up is the only option.
But here’s the truth: Goliath has a purpose. Yes, you read that right. The Goliath standing in your way isn’t there to stop you; it’s there to give you a testimony.
He isn’t just an obstacle; he’s a tool used to showcase the power of the God you serve. The intimidation you face is meant to show others—and remind you—that you have a Warrior God on your side. The battle isn’t yours to fight on your own. You’re not meant to fight Goliath with your own wisdom, strength, or resources. We’ve been leaving God out of the equation. We’ve been trying to fight a battle that was meant to be His. You don’t have to face your Goliath alone. It was never meant to be just your fight.
Know Whose You Are

When you stand in the face of fear, doubt, and overwhelming challenges, remember to whom you belong. You are a child of the Most High. Goliath isn’t just attacking you; he’s attacking the very apple of God’s eye. When you know your identity—when you understand that you are not fighting for victory but from a place of victory—you can step into the battle with confidence.
The battle may be intimidating, but the God you serve is greater than any obstacle standing in your way. Your breakthrough is closer than you think, and the victory has already been secured. When you know whose you are, Goliath don’t stand a chance.
Step Aside and Let God Lead the Fight
When Goliath comes against you, stand in your God-given identity and hand the battle over to Him. Trust that God will fight for you and with you. The moment you step aside and let God take control, that’s when your breakthrough happens.
So, the next time you encounter your Goliath—whether it’s fear, doubt, or any other form of intimidation—remember this: You are a child of God, and you belong to El Gibbor- the God of Heaven’s Armies. Stand firm in your identity, and watch how He transforms your struggle into a testimony that will inspire others and strengthen your faith.
Your breakthrough is coming, and Goliath is just the beginning of your victory. Step into your destiny with confidence and trust that God is already fighting for you!
